Tru by Hilton is our family’s new favorite hotel! We are a travel-loving family and often travel with our pups + are a bit of hotel snobs = enter Tru!
Why Do We SEARCH Out Tru Hotels Now When Traveling?
- Our travel-loving family initially discovered Tru because they are dog-friendly! Many have great fenced-in dog parks, hand you a dog bowl if needed upon check-in, AND no carpet in the rooms so they feel EXTRA clean even though Fido may have visited your room previously!
- They offer a COMPLIMENTARY hot, full breakfast! We have a 15-year-old boy who is an eating MACHINE…. complimentary FULL (not just continental) breakfast is a HUGE perk!
- Their lobbies encourage hanging outside your room- lots of seating areas with TVs, private work nooks with free wifi, board games + pool table + foosball! Awesome magazines you might find in Barnes & Noble, 24/7 gourmet market!
- FANTASTIC fitness room including barre, cardio, AND tablet-guided workouts!
- Hydration station to fill your water bottles
- AND arguably my favorite: a complimentary, LAVAZZO coffee bar with Monin Syrups, an assortment of hot teas, and hot chocolate!

Fantastic, complimentary breakfast! Waffle boats were our travel loving family’s fave!
Lobbies TRUly make you smile they are so welcoming and colorful!
24/7 market! We LOVED the microwave and healthy food choices if you choose to stay in! We ordered delivery and ate in the lobby at one of the many tables each time we have stayed in a Tru hotel – nice for your room not to smell like pizza!
Our kids loved the game area after traveling all day and mom/dad enjoyed quiet time!
Complimentary wifi in the quiet area! Great to wake up early and get email checked while sipping a yummy coffee! Speaking of coffee…
Seriously this is NOT normal, hotel coffee – it is sooooooo good and rich! No Starbucks stop after leaving this hotel and hitting the road!
I personally loved the barre to do my Pure Barre GO workout and our son loved the guided workout on the tablet!
The guest rooms were spacious, clean, comfy and the beds were perfect for our travel loving family!
We love to be outside after traveling and all of the Tru Hotels we have stayed in had wonderful outdoor options! Great as you can hang with your pups too!
